GREAT ITEM TO OWN!

This product is WONDERFUL and my skin has cleared from acne and scarring completely. I purchased this item because I no longer can afford my trips to the spa. (Much cheaper than some of the other portable facial saunas on here and in stores) So I did a little research and purchased some essential oils (100% natural lavender rosewood bergamot lemon and tea tree oil) to use in my steamer and make a facial mask. I use this steamer once or sometimes twice a week. I do suggest purchasing a bottle of distilled water and do NOT use regular tap! (too many minerals and harsh chemicals in regular tap water) The water takes forever to evaporate from the steamer and it really puts out steam once the water is heated. (Takes about 3-4 minutes to really push out the steam.) This one is worth $20 dollars and some...my boyfriend even wanted to try and it left his beard and skin so soft! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that you have to wait for the water to start to boil before the steam gets going. how to use it

I have an old Panasonic EH2501 that I have used for several years at least once per month. The water mister is useless I do not need it no one does. I do not use the big suction cup only the little concentrated small cup side does the job well for me.



First off wash your face with a soapy cleanser like a neutrogena bar this will soften up your skin and the plugs in the pores (cleansing creams or cold creams won't work to get the right softness). You can even steam with a warm wash cloth after the soapy cleanser. Once your face is softened then you can use this pore cleanser. Don't let you face get dry at any time during the pore cleansing. Keep your face wet with warm water not merely moist. The wetness on your skin will help you have a good sealed suction cup against your skin. The wetness also keeps those pore plugs water-logged and soft and easy to remove. Move the small side cup over skin keeping the cup constantly moving.



The first time you may get what some call the 'scraping off' of surface dead cells (since the surface skin is now wet and soft) but keep at it and re-wet skin with warm water if needed and the next time you move the cup over that spot it will remove the contents of pores now that the surface dead layers are out of the way.



Do not just use this on dry skin misted over using the mist attachment or you will be disappointed. Don't use the big cup side and don't forget to keep the suction cup moving unless you want to create the appearance of a hickey.



I would not hesitate to buy this brand and product again (I visited the page tempted to get a newer improved model). I am amazed that there are people that don't use it right and blame the product but then it is also the manufacturer's fault for adding a useless mist attachment and representing that you can use this starting out with dry skin. If I only used the dry skin and mist approach I would be angry about the experience too.

Good but not great

The steamer does what it is supposed to do. The water boils very quickly which is good. However the arm is too long and is not flexible enough. You have to have water more than half of the container. The machine will beep even if you have water more than the minimum line but less than half. Overall it's a nice little thing to use at home but not great.More detail ...

Excellent product

I was this close to buying the facial steamer by Kas when I learned that the product was no longer being made. So I figure that it would be a better idea to get something more up to date?



I would give this a 4 1/2 stars in fact. The steamer is very user-friendly. And I have noticed that my face feels much softer and radiant w/ its use! I also breathe much better as it moistens the sinuses. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 is because even w/ the wide mask I have to turn my head for to get good cheek exposure. Almost as good as professional dry cleaning

This is a fun product to use. When you open the patch you get a barely moist paper cloth. Then a doubt creeps in. After all how can a single moist paper cloth clean the dirt off of my clothes in 20 minutes worth of drying?



After 20 minutes my clothes were fresh smelling and clean. It was really impressive.



I higly recommend this product for light dry cleaning. But if you must get a heavy duty professional quality dry cleaning then the professional dry cleaning is still the best. After all they use industrial grade concentrated chemicals which can't be used in consumer products.
